VOColinc VS1 and LifeSmart Cololight Strip with HomeKit support are now available for purchase

Two new HomeKit compatible accessories were introduced, the VOCOlinc VS1 Smart Contact Sensor and the LifeSmart Cololight Strip. Both accessories can be ordered now, though the latest VOCOlinc product is available June 28.

The VOCOlinc VS1 Smart Contact Sensor is a compact HomeKit accessory that can be attached directly to doors and windows for immediate security. The two-part sensor uses a magnet to determine if a door or window is closed, and can send notifications through the Apple Home app. The sensor can also be used to activate automation.

Your HomeKit Home sends a notification to your Apple devices when something changes that has the status of VS1. Get real-time status of Siri and your iPhone / iPad / Apple Watch before you leave home or when it rains so you never forget to close your doors or windows. An Apple Home Hub is required for remote access.

The VS1 uses Bluetooth to communicate directly with HomeKit without the need for an additional hub. However, to allow remote access and automation, users need an Apple TV, HomePod, or iPad. The VOCOlinc sensor runs on a single CR2032 battery and is designed to last up to six months.

The LifeSmart Cololight Strip is also making its debut. The HomeKit compatible light strip is available in two different lengths and can produce the industry standard of 16 million different colors and shades of white.

The Cololight tape also has several unique features, including IP65 weather resistance and a built-in microphone. With the microphone, you can respond to music with light effects when activated with the LifeSmart app. The range of features is complemented by Wi-Fi connectivity and the ability to extend the total length up to 16.4 feet.

The LifeSmart Cololight is now available. Prices start at $44.99 for the shortest length. The larger of the two has a retail price of $54.99.
